Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, being driven by the collective wisdom of traders, tends to reflect a more accurate probability assessment, although discrepancies can occur due to differing information or biases. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbook odds in terms of forecast accuracy, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
