Frequently asked questions

Frequently, prediction market odds reflect a different assessment of probabilities than traditional sportsbooks. This can occur due to the differing incentives and information sources of the participants. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true collective belief of traders. It's common to see discrepancies, especially when there's significant public interest or disagreement about the likely outcome of this market. Analyzing these differences can reveal insights into where the 'wisdom of the crowd' diverges from expert opinion.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome, and the price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more people bet on a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by the collective actions of traders on Polymarket, and is not influenced by external factors or a central authority setting the odds. This creates a dynamic and responsive pricing system.

This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the M25 Sapporo fight as declared by the event organizers. The platform will verify the outcome against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders who correctly predicted the winner will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution. This process ensures a fair and objective determination of the market’s outcome.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before Sep 13, 2026. Any news regarding the fighters’ condition, training progress, or potential injuries would likely cause significant movement. Public statements from the fighters or their teams, as well as any analysis from MMA experts, could also shift market sentiment. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of either fighter winning has the potential to move this market.
