Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and often incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information or changing circumstances than sportsbooks, as the price adjusts with each trade.
