Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their independent beliefs. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or changes in form – the odds on Polymarket may move in ways that diverge from or converge with sportsbook lines. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially closer to the event date.
