Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and to balance betting action, while this market aggregates individual predictions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a wider range of perspectives represented in the prediction market. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts regarding the players involved.
