Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds due to varying information sources and incentives. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to express their own independent predictions. Discrepancies can arise from differing levels of expertise, access to information, or simply differing opinions among participants. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, especially in response to breaking news or late-developing insights.
