On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each candidate’s probability of winning the Pozzuoli mayoral race. As more shares are purchased for a particular candidate, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, with traders adjusting their positions based on new information and their own analysis of the race. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective forecast.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results announced by the relevant electoral authorities for the Pozzuoli mayoral race. The candidate who receives the most votes in the official election will be declared the winner, and that outcome will determine the settlement of this market. Traders who correctly predicted the winning candidate will receive a payout based on the odds at the time of their trade.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Major endorsements from influential political figures, significant shifts in public opinion polls, or unexpected campaign events could all cause the odds to change. Any news related to the candidates’ platforms, fundraising efforts, or potential scandals could also impact trading volume and price movements. Additionally, external events affecting the region or Italian politics more broadly could introduce volatility into this market. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how this market evolves.
