Prediction market odds often reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves, while this market allows participants to directly express their beliefs about the outcome. As a result, prediction market odds can sometimes diverge from sportsbook odds, especially when there is significant public information or disagreement. It’s common to see this market incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand, creating a real-time assessment of the event's likelihood. This dynamic pricing allows for efficient information aggregation and a potentially more accurate forecast.
This market resolves around Sep 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the M25 Plaisir + H match between Remy Dugardin and Sebastian Dominko. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to determine the winning outcome. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution.
