Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook odds which can be influenced by public perception or house biases. Sportsbooks often set lines to attract balanced betting, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, arbitrage opportunities may arise, as traders attempt to profit from the difference. It’s common to see prediction markets converge towards the true probability as more information becomes available and trading volume increases.
