Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by professional oddsmakers, while this market’s odds are determined by supply and demand among individual traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd believes there might be value or mispricing in either the sportsbook or this market.

The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now.
