Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. If a significant difference exists between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it could indicate disagreement about the players' chances or differing levels of information available to each group. However, it's important to remember that both represent beliefs about the future, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate. Understanding these differences can inform your trading strategy.
