Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that traders believe the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent different forms of forecasting, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event. The current top outcome, as indicated by share price, is the one with the highest implied probability, and this can shift rapidly based on new information or changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Sep 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
