Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, biases, or simply variations in market participants. It’s common to find that prediction markets reflect the 'wisdom of the crowd' more effectively than individual sportsbook lines.
