Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a large number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular player, the odds on Polymarket may move in the opposite direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is driven entirely by supply and demand, meaning the more people who believe a particular outcome will happen, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb.
This market resolves around Sep 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Mikayel Avanesyan vs Niklas Guttau match in Tsaghkadzor. Once the official results are available, Polymarket will determine the winning outcome and settle the market accordingly. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will not.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player form, injuries, or changes to playing conditions could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather forecasts for Tsaghkadzor, or reports about the players’ recent performance in other tournaments, could also cause movement. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants could signal new information or a change in expectations, leading to price adjustments on Polymarket.
