Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both a sportsbook and Polymarket. However, it’s important to note that prediction markets often incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, especially regarding late-breaking news or subtle shifts in player form.
