Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, being driven by collective prediction, tends to be more efficient and reflects the wisdom of the crowd. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market dynamically adjusts as new information and opinions emerge from traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing risk assessments and the influence of public sentiment, providing potential arbitrage opportunities for informed traders.
