Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to represent the true probability of an outcome as assessed by traders. Polls and expert analysis frequently suggest that prediction markets can be more accurate than traditional betting odds, especially when considering the wisdom of the crowd. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing opinions and information available to each group.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price fluctuates based on supply and demand, driven by new information, trader sentiment, and overall market activity. Higher demand for shares in a particular outcome will drive its price up, increasing the implied probability.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Malaszszak vs Chanta match as reported by the governing sporting body. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for updates as the resolution date approaches.
