Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket relies on the collective wisdom of traders. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities, particularly when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities, especially as more information becomes available and traders adjust their positions. Comparing this market to sportsbook lines can reveal where discrepancies exist and potentially identify value opportunities.
