Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own information and analysis. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, they can trade in a way that shifts the odds on Polymarket closer to their collective assessment. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of information is publicly available.
