Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective belief of traders who have skin in the game. If a significant discrepancy emerges between this market and sportsbook odds, it might indicate that the market perceives information not yet fully priced into the sportsbook lines, or that traders have a different understanding of the players’ capabilities.
