Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, and can sometimes differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance betting action, while this market is driven purely by individuals wagering on their beliefs about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a larger sample size of informed opinions within the prediction market. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, especially in response to breaking news or late-developing insights.
