Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an outcome as determined by traders. Therefore, differences can emerge due to varying levels of expertise, information access, and risk appetite among participants in each venue. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information, potentially offering a more efficient price discovery process for this market.
