Often, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets allow traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities, especially as new information emerges. It’s common to see this market and sportsbook odds diverge, particularly if there is strong public sentiment or expert analysis that differs from the initial sportsbook lines. Analyzing these differences can be valuable for informed decision-making.
