Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin regardless of the outcome. Prediction markets, like this one, aim to represent the true probability of an event as assessed by traders. Therefore, discrepancies can arise from differing opinions, information advantages held by market participants, or simply the absence of a built-in profit margin. It's important to note that prediction markets can sometimes be more accurate than sportsbook odds, especially when a large and informed trading volume exists.
