Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of numerous independent traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket. This can lead to prediction market odds diverging from sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. It’s important to compare both to form a well-rounded perspective.
