Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each assesses the probabilities. If you find a significant difference between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it could signal an opportunity for informed trading, or suggest that the market holds information not yet fully priced in by sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants, and the market is highly liquid, allowing for relatively easy entry and exit. The top outcome, as indicated by the share price, currently suggests a strong expectation for one player to win.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to determine which outcome corresponds to the final match result and settle the market accordingly.
