Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets, like this one, allow traders to directly assess the probability of an outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, as the 'wisdom of the crowd' on Polymarket might assign a different probability to a player winning than a sportsbook. It’s common to see prediction markets reflect public sentiment and potentially identify value where sportsbooks may be less efficient in their pricing.
