Lyon Gaming Academy and NCG Esports compete in the second map of their League of Legends match scheduled for July 18, 2026. The winner of this individual map will determine the resolution of this market.
Resolution is determined by the official result of map 2 in the LRN 2026 League of Legends match between Lyon Gaming Academy and NCG Esports scheduled for July 18, 2026 at 7:00 PM EDT. If the map or match is postponed and not completed within 48 hours of the originally scheduled start time, the market resolves to fair market price. If the match or map is cancelled before play begins, or if a match is forfeited before any play occurs, the market resolves to fair market price. If a map is forfeited before any play occurs within that map, the market resolves to fair market price. If a map begins and is subsequently forfeited, the market resolves according to the official result published by the governing body or tournament organizer.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders wagering real capital on their conviction. Prediction markets typically incorporate breaking news and community insight faster than traditional sportsbooks adjust their lines. For esports matchups, prediction market prices can reveal sharper consensus on team strength, especially when professional bettors and fans actively trade throughout the event window.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers on the outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see represents the last executed trade, and you can place limit or market orders to enter or exit your position. As new information surfaces—such as team announcements or in-game momentum—traders adjust their orders, causing the price to move. Tighter spreads indicate higher confidence and liquidity, while wider spreads suggest uncertainty or lower trading activity.
This market resolves around Jul 19, 2026, once the Map 2 contest concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the map according to the official match result. Until that point, traders can buy or sell their positions, and the price will fluctuate based on live gameplay, team performance, and community expectations. Resolution is final once the event is confirmed through established esports reporting channels.
Several catalysts can shift prices before this market resolves. In-game momentum swings, such as one team securing an early economic advantage or executing a crucial round win, often trigger sharp price moves. Roster announcements, player substitutions, or unexpected technical issues during the match can also influence trader sentiment. Pre-match analysis from professional commentators and community discussions may reveal strategic insights that alter perceived win probability. Additionally, historical head-to-head performance data and recent tournament results can resurface as traders reassess team strength closer to the event.
