The market resolves based on which player wins set 2 of the Luca Van Assche vs Marton Fucsovics match at 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play will resolve accordingly; those that cannot be settled will resolve to fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and protect profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders who buy and sell shares based on their beliefs about the outcome. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because traders have direct financial incentive to identify mispricings. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news. Comparing the two can reveal valuable arbitrage opportunities and help you gauge true consensus probability.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares of each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the most recent matched trade, and you can see the full depth of buy and sell orders at different price levels. As new information emerges or trader sentiment shifts, the bid-ask spread widens or tightens, and prices adjust in real time. This transparent, peer-to-peer pricing model ensures that odds reflect the collective judgment of active market participants.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the Van Assche vs Fucsovics match concludes and the Set 2 result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the second set according to official match records. No further conditions or tie-breaking rules apply; the winner of Set 2 is the sole determinant. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the set's completion, allowing traders to settle positions promptly.
Several factors can shift odds before the market resolves. Player form and recent match results, injury reports or fitness concerns, court surface conditions, and head-to-head history all influence trader expectations. Real-time match events—such as a player winning the first set decisively, momentum swings, or visible fatigue—typically trigger sharp price movements. Weather delays, crowd dynamics, and psychological factors also play a role. Traders monitor live commentary and score updates closely, repricing outcomes as the match unfolds and new information becomes available.
