Two college football teams will face off, and the total points each quarter accumulates will be compared to identify the quarter with the most combined scoring.
The market resolves based on which quarter (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th) records the highest combined points scored by both teams in the Louisville vs Ole Miss game scheduled for Sep 6, 2026. If the specified quarter is the sole highest-scoring quarter, the market resolves to Yes. If multiple quarters tie for the highest score, Yes positions pay $1 divided by the number of tied quarters (rounded down), and No positions receive the remainder. Overtime points are excluded from the 4th quarter total. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. Cancellations or failures to start within 48 hours result in a fair price resolution.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which are set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may initially incorporate biases or react quickly to news, while this market aggregates opinions from a diverse range of participants. Over time, prediction market prices tend to become more accurate forecasts of the event’s outcome as more information is factored in. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes offer value, especially if they diverge significantly from the current price on Kalshi.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. As more traders buy a contract, its price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, influenced by news, analysis, and overall market sentiment surrounding the Louisville vs Ole Miss game. Traders aim to profit by correctly predicting the outcome and capitalizing on price discrepancies.
This market resolves around Sep 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the quarter with the highest combined score between Louisville and Ole Miss will be identified as the winning outcome. The official game statistics, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will serve as the basis for determining the highest scoring quarter. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Louisville or Ole Miss would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions impacting scoring, could also shift the odds. Furthermore, late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale could influence trader sentiment. Finally, as the game approaches, any public analysis or expert predictions could sway the market price, as traders react to new information and adjust their positions.
