This market tracks which team will score more points in the final quarter of a college football matchup between Louisville and Ole Miss. The outcome depends entirely on the scoring dynamics in that specific segment of the game.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points during the fourth quarter of regulation play in the Louisville vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for September 6, 2026. If Ole Miss scores more points in that quarter, the 'Ole Miss wins 4th Quarter' market resolves to Yes. If Louisville scores more points, the 'Louisville wins 4th Quarter' market resolves to Yes. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly states it holds no affiliation with the NCAA, and all associated trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis beyond what’s readily available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on team performance and expert opinion, this market allows anyone to trade based on their own insights, potentially leading to odds that differ from those found at sportsbooks. These differences can arise from unique information or varying interpretations of available data. It’s common to see prediction markets move more quickly to incorporate new information than traditional betting venues.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. As more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price of those contracts increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling contracts lowers the price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a contract represents the cost to own one unit of exposure to that outcome, and it fluctuates based on supply and demand driven by traders’ beliefs about the game’s result. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of its participants.
This market resolves around Sep 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team is winning at the end of the fourth quarter of the Louisville vs Ole Miss game. The final score, as reported by official sources, will be used to determine the winning team, and therefore the outcome of this market. Traders should monitor official game results to understand when the market has reached its conclusion and the winning outcome has been determined.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Louisville or Ole Miss would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team’s playing style, could also impact trading. Additionally, pre-game analysis from sports analysts and updated team statistics released closer to game time can all contribute to shifts in market sentiment. Unexpected developments during the game itself, even early in the first quarter, could also lead to rapid adjustments in the odds.
