This market focuses on determining which team will lead at the end of the third quarter in an upcoming college football game. It provides a way to speculate on the in-game momentum and performance of the teams during a specific segment of play. The outcome depends solely on the scoring during that quarter, not the final game result.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points during the third quarter of the Louisville vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for September 6, 2026. If Ole Miss scores more points in that quarter, the 'Ole Miss wins 3rd Quarter' market resolves to Yes. If Louisville scores more points, the 'Louisville wins 3rd Quarter' market resolves to Yes. If both teams score the same number of points, the 'Tie 3rd Quarter' market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the third quarter count toward resolution. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and often incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the likely outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular team winning the third quarter. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate.
This market resolves around Sep 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the third quarter winner of the Louisville vs Ole Miss game will be used to determine the winning contract. The resolution will be based on the official game results as reported by a trusted sports data provider. Traders who hold contracts for the winning team will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for the losing team will not. It’s important to monitor the event closely as the resolution date approaches.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Louisville or Ole Miss would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also shift the odds. Furthermore, significant shifts in public sentiment, perhaps driven by expert analysis or prominent sports commentators, could also move the market. Unexpected coaching decisions or in-game performance during the first and second quarters could also lead to adjustments in trader expectations and, therefore, the price of contracts.
