These markets evaluate how many points Louisville and Ole Miss will score specifically in the second quarter of their college football game on September 6, 2026. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored, and the outcome depends on whether the combined score exceeds that threshold.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the second quarter of the Louisville vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for September 6, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., more than 2.5, 5.5, 7.5, etc., points), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it could indicate differing opinions on the likely result of the Louisville vs Ole Miss 2nd quarter. It's important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of the event occurring – in this case, the 2nd quarter total being over or under the specified number. As more people buy contracts predicting a certain outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the traders participating in this market, offering a real-time assessment of potential outcomes.
This market resolves around Sep 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 2nd quarter of the Louisville vs Ole Miss game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, and the market will settle to 100 for the winning side (over or under) and 0 for the losing side. Traders holding contracts on the winning side will receive a payout, while those on the losing side will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Louisville or Ole Miss teams could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also move the market. Additionally, late-breaking information about team strategies or coaching decisions might influence traders' assessments of the likely 2nd quarter total, leading to fluctuations in contract prices.
