These markets evaluate different scoring thresholds for the second half of a college football game between Louisville and Ole Miss. Each threshold represents a specific point total that, if exceeded by both teams combined during the second half, determines the outcome of that particular market.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (excluding overtime) of the Louisville vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for September 6, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the specified threshold (2.5, 6.5, 9.5, 13.5, 16.5, 19.5, 20.5, 23.5, 27.5, 30.5, 34.5, 37.5, or 41.5 points), that market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. No overtime points count toward any market.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of supply and demand within the prediction market. It’s common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook odds, especially as new information becomes available or as the event draws closer. Examining these differences can be a valuable exercise for informed decision-making.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing the outcome of the 2nd Half Total. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, with buyers driving the price up and sellers driving it down. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The closer the event gets, the more volatile the price may become as new information emerges and traders refine their predictions. The market price represents the probability that traders assign to the 2nd Half Total going over the set line, and this probability is constantly updated with each trade.
This market resolves around Sep 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official 2nd Half Total score from the Louisville vs Ole Miss game will be used to determine whether the market resolves to 'yes' (over the line) or 'no' (under the line). The resolution will be based on the final, official statistics released by the governing body of the game. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Kalshi once the outcome has been verified.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Louisville or Ole Miss teams could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also have an impact. Furthermore, in-game developments during the first half, such as a dominant performance by one team or unexpected strategic adjustments, could lead to rapid price movements. Public sentiment and any late-breaking analysis from sports commentators could also contribute to shifts in this market.
