This set of markets focuses on predicting the total points scored by both teams combined during the second quarter of a college football game. The outcomes depend on whether the combined score exceeds specific thresholds, offering various levels of difficulty for accurate forecasting.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the second quarter of the Louisiana Tech vs LSU college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. Each market has a different threshold for the total points, ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points. If the combined score exceeds the specified threshold for a given market, that market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. All markets exclusively consider points scored in the second quarter. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. Often, prediction markets can provide an early indicator of potential outcomes, as they are less influenced by public bias and more driven by informed participants. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before a significant amount of betting activity occurs at sportsbooks.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the total points scored in the 2nd Quarter of the Louisiana Tech vs LSU game will be over or under a certain threshold. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, with higher prices indicating a greater likelihood of the event occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the evolving expectations of traders.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the 2nd Quarter of the Louisiana Tech vs LSU game, as reported by official game statistics, will determine whether the ‘Over’ or ‘Under’ contracts will pay out. Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Louisiana Tech or LSU would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring a high- or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team lineups could also shift perceptions and drive price fluctuations. Overall game previews and analysis from sports analysts could also sway trader sentiment.
