Description

Two markets focus on which team will win the second half of a women's professional basketball game between Los Angeles and Seattle. The outcome depends solely on which team scores more points during that half of regulation time, excluding any overtime periods.

Kalshi

The markets resolve based on the team that scores the most points during the specified half of regulation time in the Los Angeles vs Seattle women's Pro Basketball game originally scheduled for Aug 30, 2026, excluding overtime. If both teams score the same number of points during the half, all team outcomes resolve to No and the Tie outcome resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled game finishes within two days. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled beyond two days, all markets resolve to a fair price. Frequently asked questions

On Kalshi, this market reflects trader sentiment rather than traditional sportsbook lines. While sportsbooks may incorporate additional factors like historical performance and public betting trends, prediction markets focus purely on the probability as assessed by participants. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities, especially when market sentiment diverges from conventional analyst views. Traders in this market may react more quickly to new information, potentially offering sharper or more volatile odds compared to sportsbooks, which often maintain more stable lines to manage risk and liability.

This market resolves around Aug 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result is determined by the official game records showing which team scored more points in the second half, and the platform will finalise the market based on those confirmed results.

Key moments such as injuries to star players, strategic changes by coaches, red card decisions, or momentum shifts during the match could all influence this market. Traders will react to real-time scoring, possession statistics, and any significant plays occurring in the second half, causing price fluctuations as expectations evolve. Updates from team announcements or weather conditions may also affect market sentiment leading up to resolution.
