This event covers team total runs scored in a Major League Cricket match between Los Angeles Knight Riders and Texas Super Kings scheduled for July 12, 2026. Bettors predict whether each team will exceed specific run thresholds during their innings.
Resolution is based on actual runs scored by each team in the completed match. If the match is cancelled before play begins or delayed more than 48 hours from the originally scheduled start time, all markets resolve to fair market price as determined by the Exchange. If play begins but no official result is declared (including via DLS method), markets resolve to fair market price, except for statistics already definitively achieved, which resolve on recorded results. If the match is shortened but an official result is declared through ICC-approved methods such as DLS, statistical markets resolve based on actual recorded statistics only, with no projections or adjustments applied.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant pools and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit; prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market aggregates real-money forecasts from participants who profit by accurately predicting run totals, sometimes revealing signals that sportsbooks lag in pricing. Comparing the two can highlight where consensus differs and which venue may be undervaluing or overvaluing specific outcomes.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares corresponding to different run-total ranges or outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices move as supply and demand shift, with each trade updating the mid-market level. The platform's matching engine ensures transparent price discovery, and you can see the full depth of buy and sell interest at any moment, allowing you to execute at the best available rate or set limit orders to await your target price.
This market resolves around Jul 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final tally will reflect the combined runs scored by both teams during the match. Once the game concludes and official statistics are published, the market will settle based on the verified result, and traders holding the correct outcome will receive their payouts.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, injury updates to star batsmen or bowlers, recent form and head-to-head records, and venue conditions such as pitch behavior and weather forecasts. Pre-match commentary from analysts and betting syndicate activity can also shift sentiment. As the match date approaches, any changes to playing XI, toss outcome, or early-innings momentum will drive sharp repricing. Real-time score updates during the game itself will cause rapid adjustments as actual run rates become observable.
