Los Angeles Knight Riders and San Francisco Unicorns will compete in a Major League Cricket match on July 10, 2026. Bettors can wager on whether each team will exceed various run-scoring thresholds during their innings.
Resolution is based on actual runs scored by each team in the completed match. If the match is cancelled before play begins or delayed more than 48 hours from the scheduled start, all markets resolve to fair market price as determined by the Exchange. If play begins but no official result is declared (including via DLS method), markets resolve to fair market price except for statistics already definitively achieved, which resolve on recorded results. If the match is shortened with an official result declared through ICC-approved methods such as DLS, statistical markets resolve based on actual recorded statistics only, without projections or adjustments.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant pools and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs in real time. This market aggregates the collective forecast of traders betting their own capital, which can lead to sharper or more volatile pricing than traditional sportsbooks. Comparing the two can reveal where public consensus differs from professional oddsmakers, offering potential value opportunities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing yes or no outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the implied probability that the Knight Riders and Unicorns will combine for a specific run total. As new trades execute, the price updates instantly, allowing you to enter or exit at the best available bid-ask spread. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how tight the spread remains and how easily you can fill larger orders.
This market resolves around Jul 11, 2026, once the game concludes and the final run totals are verified. The outcome is determined by the combined runs scored by both teams during the match, confirmed against credible public reporting. Until that point, prices will fluctuate as new information emerges—injuries, weather, lineup changes, or live game developments can all shift trader expectations. Your position remains open until resolution, at which point payouts are calculated based on the verified final result.
Key catalysts include roster announcements, injury updates, weather forecasts, and pre-game analysis from respected analysts. Early-game momentum—runs scored in the first few innings—often triggers sharp repricing as traders update their models. Trades by high-volume participants or sudden shifts in betting patterns can also signal new information entering the market. Monitoring team news, player availability, and live scoring will help you anticipate price moves and time your entry or exit strategically.
