Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi use identical resolution logic: the market resolves based on the official match outcome after 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 26, 2026, with consistent handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official MLS Soccer statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers (mlssoccer.com); if unavailable within 2 hours post-match, credible reporting consensus may be used.
Core resolution logic:
Each outcome market (Real Salt Lake win, Los Angeles Galaxy win, draw) resolves YES if and only if that specific outcome occurs after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time.
Exactly one of the three outcome markets will resolve YES; the other two will resolve NO.
If the game is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the game is canceled with no make-up scheduled, Real Salt Lake win and Los Angeles Galaxy win markets resolve NO, and the draw market resolves YES.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the game is actually played and completed.
Cancellation Without Makeup: If the match is canceled entirely with no rescheduled date, the draw market resolves YES while both team win markets resolve NO.
Resolution Timing: Resolution is based on the official match result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time only; extra time and penalty shootouts are excluded from consideration.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official MLS announcement of the final match result, or within 2 hours after match conclusion via credible reporting if official statistics are delayed.
