In the upcoming MLS game between Los Angeles Galaxy and Portland Timbers, scheduled for October 14, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Los Angeles Galaxy vs. Portland Timbers match originally scheduled for October 14, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow traders to freely express their beliefs, leading to prices driven by supply and demand. This can sometimes result in prediction market odds being more accurate, especially when incorporating information not readily available to sportsbook analysts. However, sportsbooks typically offer more accessible betting options and higher liquidity for mainstream events.
Prices on Polymarket and Predict for this market can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and access to information regarding the LA Galaxy and Portland Timbers. Trading volume also plays a role; lower volume on one platform can lead to greater price volatility and discrepancies. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for price discovery—how traders can buy and sell predictions—differ between Polymarket and Predict, contributing to price variations. These differences highlight the value of aggregating data across multiple platforms.
