Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market aggregates decentralized trader conviction, which can lead to sharper or earlier price discovery than conventional betting lines. Comparing the two can reveal where market participants see value or disagreement relative to professional oddsmakers.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. The price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders. As new information emerges or trading volume shifts, prices adjust in real time. Traders profit by correctly predicting the second-half result, creating a financial incentive for accurate pricing.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official final score and events that occur during the second half only. Traders holding positions aligned with the verified result will receive their payout, while opposing positions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on when the event is completed and the result is publicly confirmed.
Several factors may shift prices before resolution. Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—can alter perceived second-half performance. Early first-half momentum and scoreline may influence expectations for how the second half unfolds. Weather conditions, referee assignments, or other match-day variables can also sway trader sentiment. As kickoff approaches and the first half progresses, real-time events will likely trigger repricing. Monitor team social media, official announcements, and live match commentary for catalysts that could move this market.
