A market resolves to Yes if the specified team wins by more than 1.5 goals during the first half. Only goals scored during the first half count toward resolution. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to more than two weeks away, the market will resolve to a fair price in accordance with the rules.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market's odds may lead or lag sportsbook spreads depending on whether traders spot value before bookmakers adjust. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs—prediction markets sometimes price in information faster, while sportsbooks may hold firmer lines based on sharp action. Neither is inherently more accurate; they simply operate under different dynamics.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares reflecting their belief in each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform displays bid-ask spreads in real time, and prices move as new orders flow in. Traders profit by correctly predicting the first-half spread outcome, with payouts tied to the final verified result. Kalshi's transparent pricing model means you can see exactly what others are willing to pay or accept, enabling you to enter or exit positions at market rates. Liquidity and spreads tighten as the event approaches.
This market resolves around Jul 26, 2026, once the first half of the game concludes and the final spread is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by comparing the actual point differential at halftime against the predicted spread. Resolution occurs after official sources confirm the halftime score, ensuring accuracy and fairness. Traders holding positions at resolution receive payouts based on whether their prediction matched the verified result. No further trading occurs after the event concludes.
Several factors can shift odds before halftime. Injury reports or roster changes announced before kickoff often trigger sharp repricing, as traders adjust for altered team strength. Early game momentum—scoring drives, turnovers, or defensive dominance in the opening minutes—typically causes rapid price swings as live data replaces pregame assumptions. Public betting patterns and media narratives can also influence trader sentiment. Weather conditions, if they worsen unexpectedly, may affect passing games and field position. Major sportsbook line moves often correlate with prediction market repricing as professional action becomes visible. Monitor team news and live game action closely for the most significant catalysts.
