Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders wagering real money on outcomes. This market may show tighter or wider spreads than traditional sportsbooks, depending on liquidity and trader conviction. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where sharp money is flowing.

On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers set the odds by placing limit and market orders. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome share reflects the collective assessment of all active traders at any given moment. As new information emerges—such as lineup announcements or injury reports—traders adjust their positions, causing the price to move. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market continuously incorporates fresh data and trader sentiment.

This market resolves around Jun 13, 2026, once the first five innings of the game are complete and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the final score or result recorded at the end of the fifth inning, confirmed through official game records. Early resolution may occur if the game is called or suspended before five innings are played, depending on league rules and platform settlement guidelines.

Key catalysts include starting pitcher announcements, last-minute lineup changes, and weather conditions at game time. Injury updates to star players can shift expectations for offensive output in the early innings. Once the game begins, each run scored, out recorded, or baserunning play will influence trader positions in real time. Early momentum—such as a quick lead or pitching struggles—often triggers sharp repricing as traders react to live action and adjust their exposure.
