These markets track the defensive performance of both teams in a specific football game by counting how many times each team sacks the opposing quarterback. The outcomes depend on whether each team reaches certain sack thresholds during the match.
All markets resolve based on the official number of sacks recorded by each team during the Los Angeles Chargers vs Buffalo Bills Pro Football game scheduled for September 27, 2026. Sacks recorded during 2-point conversion attempts are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Each market has a specific threshold for each team; if the team's total sacks meet or exceed the threshold, that market resolves to Yes, otherwise No.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis from a wider range of sources than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It’s common to see initial differences between the two, but as the event approaches, the prediction market odds often become more accurate than those offered by sportsbooks, particularly for events where public information is readily available. However, sportsbook odds may still offer value depending on individual risk tolerance.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the latest information and sentiment. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market operates much like a stock exchange, with traders aiming to profit from correctly predicting the event’s outcome. The current price indicates the cost to take a position on a specific number of sacks.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final number of sacks recorded during the Los Angeles C versus Buffalo game will be used to determine the winning contracts. Official game statistics from a recognized sports data provider will serve as the basis for verifying the result. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual number of sacks will receive a payout, while those holding losing contracts will forfeit their investment. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objective data.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Los Angeles C or Buffalo defensive lines would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to be windy or rainy, could also affect the likelihood of sacks. Late-breaking reports about team strategies or defensive schemes could also shift the market. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large trades on Kalshi itself could cause price movements, reflecting changing sentiment among traders.
