The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and settlement rule interpretations. Kalshi and Polymarket may frame the first 5 innings outcome slightly differently—for instance, how ties or specific game states are classified—leading to distinct probability curves. Liquidity depth and order-book structure also vary between venues, so large trades can move prices differently. Additionally, platform-specific fee structures and user bases mean information propagates at different speeds, creating temporary arbitrage windows that sharp traders exploit before prices converge.
Lineup announcements, starting pitcher health updates, and recent team performance trends typically shift odds before first pitch. Weather conditions at the stadium, travel fatigue, and rest days can influence early-inning scoring patterns. Breaking injury news or unexpected roster changes may trigger sharp repricing across both platforms. During the game itself, early runs, pitching changes, and defensive plays in the first few innings drive real-time adjustments. Traders monitoring live action often spot momentum shifts that push prices toward one outcome before the full five innings conclude.
