PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: The resolution criteria for the 'Games Total' markets differ between Polymarket and Kalshi, particularly regarding how forfeits and incomplete series are handled.Hero tip: Focus on Polymarket's markets for more comprehensive coverage of potential game outcomes, including forfeits. Kalshi's markets are simpler but may not fully reflect all possible scenarios.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves based on total games played, including forfeits and walkovers, with specific 50/50 resolution rules for cancellations or incomplete matches. Considers clinching game forfeits as completed matches.
  • Kalshi: Resolves based on maps played, with a simple Yes/No for exceeding thresholds (3.5 or 4.5). Lacks explicit rules for forfeits or incomplete series, potentially leading to ambiguity.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the LoL Lower bracket semifinal match between Senshi Esports Club and The Bandits in the Road Of Legends Playoffs, initially scheduled for September 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Senshi Esports Club" if Senshi Esports Club win the match against The Bandits. This market will resolve to "The Bandits" if The Bandits win the match against Senshi Esports Club. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before September 24, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of September 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

The event evaluates two separate conditions regarding the total number of maps played in the Road Of Legends 2026 match between The Bandits and Senshi Esports Club scheduled for September 10, 2026. The first condition resolves positively if more than 3.5 maps are played, essentially meaning four or more maps occur. The second condition is more stringent, resolving positively only if more than 4.5 maps are played, meaning five or more maps are required. Both markets are independent assessments of match length, offering participants different thresholds to evaluate. It is important to note that Kalshi, the platform hosting these markets, has no official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks and brand names belong to their respective owners.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict for this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially offering a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit by balancing action on both sides, while prediction markets incentivize participants to reveal their true beliefs. This can lead to differences in probabilities, especially when public sentiment strongly deviates from expert opinion. It’s important to compare both sources when evaluating the likely outcome of the LoL Road of Legends playoffs.
