This market tracks the likelihood of any player achieving a Quadra Kill in Game 5 of the Invictus Gaming versus Top Esports best-of-five series during the LPL Playoffs. Currently, the aggregated probability of a Quadra Kill occurring in Game 5 is 19.0%, based on data from Kalshi and Polymarket. Resolution will be determined by data from https://gol.gg/esports/home. Additionally, there is a 19.0% probability of any player achieving a Penta Kill in Game 5. Keep an eye on the series schedule, as the outcome will be determined following the conclusion of the final game on or before September 5, 2026.
This market refers to the LoL Lower bracket round 1 match between Invictus Gaming and Top Esports in the LPL Playoffs, initially scheduled for September 5, 2026 at 2:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Invictus Gaming" if Invictus Gaming win the match against Top Esports. This market will resolve to "Top Esports" if Top Esports win the match against Invictus Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before September 19, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of September 5, 2026 at 2:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
The event evaluates two separate conditions regarding the total number of maps played in the Invictus Gaming versus Top Esports League of Legends match scheduled for September 5, 2026. The first condition resolves positively if more than 3.5 maps are played, meaning at least four maps occur. The second condition requires more than 4.5 maps, translating to at least five maps being completed. Both conditions are independent, and each has its own resolution criteria. The match must be the one originally scheduled for the specified date and time. Kalshi clarifies it holds no official ties to the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow anyone to express their belief about an outcome, creating a demand-based pricing mechanism. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's significant public information or disagreement about the likely result of this market. However, both types of odds aim to accurately forecast the probability of events.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi may differ due to variations in trader participation, market design, and available liquidity. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and information, leading to differing opinions reflected in the prices. Additionally, the specific market structures – the types of outcomes offered and the fees charged – can influence trading behavior. Currently, Polymarket currently favors Game 4: Any Player Quadra Kill? at 98, while Kalshi leans toward Will over 4.5 maps be played in the Invictus Gaming vs. Top Esports League of Legends match? at n/a.
