This market tracks whether both Hanwha Life Esports and LYON will slay a dragon during Game 2 of their Mid-Season Invitational Playoffs Lower Bracket Final best-of-five series. The aggregated consensus across Polymarket and Predict shows 100.0% probability for this outcome. Resolution is determined by official gol.gg/esports/home data, with credible reporting and video evidence accepted as fallback if gol.gg does not publish within 2 hours of the match conclusion. Watch the match scheduled for July 11, 2024 at 4:00 AM ET to see whether both teams secure dragon kills in Game 2.
This market refers to the LoL Lower bracket final match between Hanwha Life Esports and LYON in the Mid-Season Invitational Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 11 at 4:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Hanwha Life Esports" if Hanwha Life Esports win the match against LYON. This market will resolve to "LYON" if LYON win the match against Hanwha Life Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks use different mechanisms to arrive at odds. Sportsbooks employ oddsmakers and risk management to set lines, then adjust based on liability. Prediction markets instead rely on continuous trading—buyers and sellers negotiate prices directly, with no house taking the other side. This often produces sharper, more reactive pricing on niche events like esports playoffs. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads and faster settlement on mainstream matchups. For this market, comparing both venues can reveal where informed traders see edge relative to conventional betting lines.
Key catalysts include roster changes, player injuries, or unexpected roster swaps announced before the match. Scrim results and recent tournament performance by either team can shift trader sentiment significantly. Meta shifts in the current patch may favor one team's playstyle over the other. Live in-game events—such as early kills, objective control, or draft surprises in earlier games—will reprice individual game markets and influence series expectations. Media narratives around momentum, coaching adjustments, and head-to-head history also influence prediction market pricing as the event approaches.
