Description

This market refers to the LoL match between Ground Zero Gaming and DetonatioN FocusMe in the LCP Regular Season, initially scheduled for April 4 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Ground Zero Gaming" if Ground Zero Gaming win the match against DetonatioN FocusMe. This market will resolve to "DetonatioN FocusMe" if DetonatioN FocusMe win the match against Ground Zero Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Kalshi and Polymarket use fundamentally incompatible resolution logic. Kalshi's two markets both resolve YES regardless of match outcome (creating a logical contradiction), while Polymarket's markets properly distinguish between match winner and specific in-game events. This makes Kalshi's markets unresolvable as written.

Hero Tip:

Avoid betting on Kalshi's match-winner markets in this group — they contain a logical flaw that guarantees YES resolution for both teams simultaneously, which is impossible. Polymarket's markets are properly structured and resolvable. If you must trade Kalshi, treat it as a data integrity failure and seek clarification from the platform before committing capital.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi's two markets (items 1–2) both state 'then the market resolves to Yes' for mutually exclusive outcomes (DetonatioN FocusMe wins OR Ground Zero Gaming wins). This creates a logical contradiction — both cannot occur simultaneously, yet both are mapped to YES. The platform provides no NO resolution condition, rendering these markets unresolvable. Key quote: 'If DetonatioN FocusMe wins... then the market resolves to Yes. If Ground Zero Gaming wins... then the market resolves to Yes.'
  • Polymarket: Aligned with proper market design: Polymarket's 20 markets (items 3–53) use standard, resolvable logic. The match-winner market (item 6) resolves to the actual winner (Ground Zero Gaming or DetonatioN FocusMe) or 50-50 on cancellation/delay. In-game event markets (dragons, barons, kills, penta/quadra kills, inhibitors, first blood) resolve YES/NO based on whether the specified condition occurred during the named game. All outcomes are mutually exclusive and clearly defined. Key quote (item 6): 'This market will resolve to Ground Zero Gaming if Ground Zero Gaming win the match... This market will resolve to DetonatioN FocusMe if DetonatioN FocusMe win the match.'
