Currently, Polymarket gives a 98.5% probability to both teams slaying a dragon, with a 1.5% probability assigned to both teams slaying Baron Nashor. This market refers to the LoL match between FENNEL and Cupid Esports in the World Star Challengers Invitational Group C, initially scheduled for September 21, 2026 at 3:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "FENNEL" if FENNEL win the match against Cupid Esports. This market will resolve to "Cupid Esports" if Cupid Esports win the match against FENNEL. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of September 21, 2026 at 3:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own analysis, while this market’s prices are driven by supply and demand among participants. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk assessments. If significant differences emerge between the odds on Polymarket and those offered by sportsbooks, it could indicate that the market believes there is value in a particular outcome that sportsbooks have overlooked, or vice versa.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe FENNEL will win, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb, and conversely, the lower the price of shares representing a Cupid Esports victory. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and sentiment.
This market resolves around Sep 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the best-of-one match between FENNEL and Cupid Esports in Group C of the World Star Challengers Invitational. The platform will verify the result against publicly available data from the tournament organizers, ensuring an accurate and transparent resolution process. Traders should monitor official sources for the final match result to understand how this market will settle.
